朝陽卓越永續 同心共創輝煌

各位貴賓、老師、同仁、同學及校友大家好：

時間過得很快，彷彿才剛慶祝完30周年校慶，一轉眼又迎來一年一度的校慶盛事。朝陽已邁入第31個年頭，在喜悅的同時，心中感觸萬千，點滴在心頭。在此，天生想與大家分享幾點感想：

一、回顧創校初心：個人深刻體會「教育為國家根本」的重要性，也為了感念親恩，所以透過辦學來回饋社會。回顧過去，天生見證朝陽從選址、規劃、草創、成長，到今日的蓬勃發展，這些豐碩的成果，遠大於當初所設想的預期；在此，要特別感謝歷任校長、師長、同仁與學生的付出與努力，正是你們的奉獻與堅持，成就了今日的朝陽。

二、創業維艱，守成更不易：俗話說：「創業維艱，守成不易。」開創一番事業本就困難，而要持續發展、保持基業長青更是極大的挑戰；或許許多朝陽人未曾親身經歷創校的艱辛，但今日學校的成就，正是前人努力累積的成果。因此，全體師生切勿自滿，更應奮發精進，在既有的基礎上持續開拓，讓朝陽的光芒更加耀眼。

三、保持「歸零心態」，迎向未來：希望大家將每一次校慶視為朝陽重新開墾、耕耘的起點，拋開舊有的框架與束縛，以嶄新的視角迎向未來。「歸零」並非否定過去，而是以更開放的心態接納新知，探索創新思維，展現「大破大立，曉喻新生」的精神。唯有不斷學習與成長，才能在變局中尋找新機遇，讓朝陽持續進步。

四、回歸教育根本，承擔社會責任：教育的根本在於培養品德，造就英才。期盼教職同仁能以教育本心、良心與愛心關懷學生，也希望同學們珍惜在校時光，努力學習，在未來職場上發揮所長，實踐學用合一的精神。此外，除了學術研究與專業發展，朝陽亦應善盡大學的社會責任，結合專業與創意，鏈結在地文化，發揮高等教育的服務熱忱，回饋社會，造福大眾。

最後，本校31周年校慶適逢《朝陽時報》創刊第100期，在此祝願朝陽科技大學百年樹人，永遠煥發活力！ 希望全體師生秉持「永不設限」的精神，以眾志成城的團結力量迎接每一個挑戰，不斷締造更多驚喜與里程碑，突破自我，勇敢前行！

Distinguished Guests, Board Members, President Cheng, Vice Presidents, Faculty, and Students, Greetings!

Time flies—just as we recently celebrated Chaoyang’s 30th anniversary, we now gather once again for this annual occasion. As Chaoyang enters its 31st year, I am filled with joy and deep reflection, reminiscing about our journey. On this special day, I would like to share a few thoughts:

1. Reflecting on Our Founding Vision：I firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of a nation’s success. Out of gratitude to my parents and a desire to give back to society, I chose to contribute through education. Looking back, I have witnessed Chaoyang’s transformation—from site selection, planning, and its humble beginnings, to steady growth and today’s remarkable development. These achievements have far exceeded our original expectations. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all past presidents, faculty, staff, and students. Your dedication and perseverance have shaped Chaoyang into what it is today.

2. Sustaining Success Is the Greater Challenge：As the saying goes, “Starting a business is difficult; sustaining it is even harder.” Establishing an institution is no easy feat, but ensuring its continuous growth and long-term prosperity is an even greater challenge. While many in the Chaoyang community may not have personally experienced the hardships of our founding years, today’s success rests upon the tireless efforts and dedication of those who came before us. We must not become complacent. Instead, we must continue striving for excellence, building on our strong foundation to make Chaoyang shine even brighter.

3. Embracing a “Beginner’s Mindset”：I encourage everyone to treat each anniversary as a fresh start for Chaoyang—an opportunity to break free from old paradigms and embrace the future with fresh perspectives. A “beginner’s mindset” does not mean forgetting the past but rather embracing new knowledge with an open mind, exploring innovative ideas, and embodying a spirit of renewal and transformation. Through lifelong learning and continuous growth, we can navigate change, seize new opportunities, and propel Chaoyang forward.

4. Staying True to Education and Serving Society：Education is about cultivating character and fostering talent. I hope our faculty will continue teaching with sincerity, conscience, and compassion and that our students will cherish their time at Chaoyang—studying diligently, developing strengths, and integrating knowledge with practice in future careers. Beyond academic and professional development, Chaoyang must also uphold its social responsibility. By combining expertise with creativity, connecting with local culture, and fostering a spirit of service in higher education, we can give back to society and benefit the broader community.

Finally, as we celebrate Chaoyang’s 31st anniversary, we also mark the publication of the 100th issue of Chaoyang Times. On this special occasion, I sincerely wish Chaoyang continued vitality and success in nurturing talent for generations to come. May all faculty and students uphold the spirit of “pushing boundaries,” face every challenge with unity and determination, continue creating new milestones and breakthroughs, and boldly forge ahead!
